A dedicated team of members of the society has spent many hours of research and design to produce Heritage Trails for the area. The first of these for the three villages were formally launched at the society’s AGM on 22nd January 2010. They were funded by the National Lottery Awards For All and were produced with the help of Kevin Cale from Community Archaeology Ltd, The North York Moors National Park and North Yorkshire County Records Office.
Since then we have added further trails on the deserted medieval village of Little Broughton and also on Kirby Bank. These can be purchased for a maximum of 50p at any regular meeting of the society and also from a variety of outlets including village shops, pubs, local libraries, and visitor information centres.
