We had our second talk in the Village Hall last month and this was well attended with over 30 members and guests. 

We continue our programme on Monday 15th November at 7.30 in Great Broughton Village Hall, with Janice Ronsano presenting “Witchcraft in Yorkshire and beyond” Guests are welcome on payment of a visitor fee, £3. At this meeting the new updated and expanded publication “Rosedale Mines and Railway” By R.H.Hayes and J.G.Rutter will be on sale £8 and our own publication “Doors to the Past – Great Broughton” £5. These will make ideal Christmas gifts.

Last but certainly not least! tickets are now available for our Christmas Social at Kirkby Church Hall, Theme 1960s. Tickets £20 pp (to include a welcome drink, canapés, two course meal and live entertainment. BYO drinks) available from Jim Watson 711406 and Jackie Cove-Smith 712618. If you are coming could you bring a photo of yourself in the 1960s please. It looks like being a great evening so do come and join us, your guests are welcome too.
