When | Monday 20th September at 7.30 pm | Tutor | Tony Daniels |
Lecture-The next station stop is Stokesley
This lecture was the first the LHG has had since before lockdown. Janice welcomed everyone to the lecture most warmly. The audience was about 30 and, with the spacing, it almost filled the village hall.
The lecturer, Tony Daniels, has given talks to the LHG before. It is a subject he has studied for many years. But it wasn’t dry; he gave it in a clear and understandable way. The lecture adopted the right tone for the audience. It came in two parts. The first was a narrative about the history of the railway. The second part was illustration using maps, satellite images and photographs. The audience took well to both parts. Questions were asked. It produced an informative and enjoyable evening.
