The lecture was delivered to a substantial audience and was a wide ranging review of many aspects of milling.  Our audiences have many interests and this lecture would cover most, if not all, of them.

The speaker began with the theme that milling has been around for a long time.  The review began with the ancient Greeks and concluded with the modern industry.  In that review there was a detailed account of the technology and the changes it has undergone.  The role that milling had in communities and the economy was explored.  And finally, there was a detailed account of milling over the years in our local communities.

This was a lecture which covered the ground comprehensively.  Every member of the audience would have found something stimulating and of interest.  The feedback confirmed that.

An enjoyable evening.
