On the afternoon of Wednesday 25th April we visited Rievaulx Abbey for a guided tour with Brother Anthony. The weather smiled on us and we were treated to a fascinating insight into the life of the Cistercian Monks and their lay brothers. Most of us had made previous visits to the Abbey but Brother Anthony’s enthusiastic presentation added a whole new dimension to our knowledge of this spectacular building.
